Oma Savings Bank’s board has appointed Iikka Kuosa as CEO from 5 November 2026. Kuosa joins from S-Bank, OmaSp’s new parent, where he has been EVP for Banking and Deputy CEO since April 2024.
He replaced Karri Alameri, whose role as CEO ended when shareholders elected him to the board on the same day. Sarianna Liiri continues as Deputy CEO, and the report to the Financial Supervisory Authority on Kuosa’s fit and proper assessment is pending.

Kuosa will run the integration from both sides

Kuosa will be responsible for the integration project at both OmaSp and S-Bank, and for keeping customer service running smoothly during the changes. He has previously held several leadership roles at S-Bank and at Citibank.

“He is also extremely familiar with leading integration projects, and he brings valuable expertise during this phase of change,” says Riikka Laine-Tolonen, Chair of the Board of OmaSp.

S-Bank now chairs a smaller board with fewer committees

S-Bank has owned more than 90% of OmaSp since its tender offer was completed in October. At its request, the extraordinary general meeting on 5 November elected a five-member board of Riikka Laine-Tolonen, Mika Heikkilä, Jussi Sokka, Karri Alameri and Irma Gillberg-Hjelt, disbanded the shareholders’ nomination committee and appointed KPMG as auditor.

At its first meeting, the new board elected Riikka Laine-Tolonen as chair and Mika Heikkilä as vice chair. It discontinued the audit and remuneration committees, leaving the risk committee, chaired by Gillberg-Hjelt, as its only permanent committee.

Kuosa takes over as profit falls

On the morning of the appointment, OmaSp reported Q3 2026 comparable profit before tax of EUR 9.5 million, down from EUR 16.1 million, and a comparable return on equity of 4.8%. Net interest income fell 6.4% to EUR 37.7 million as the loan portfolio contracted, and the comparable cost-to-income ratio rose to 52.9% from 50.1%. OmaSp lowered its guidance in September and expects comparable profit before tax to decrease significantly in 2026.

OmaSp said in August that if S-Bank’s tender offer was implemented as planned, the intention was to delist its shares, and the offer was completed in October. Kuosa therefore takes over a bank that is set to leave Nasdaq Helsinki as it is integrated into S-Bank.
