Martin Jönsson has been named the chief executive officer of Apetit’s operations in Sweden, joining the management team on 2 March 2026.
Jönsson will succeed Karl Vilhelm Beckman, who has served as CEO of Apetit’s operations in Sweden and will leave the company during the spring, the Finnish food company announced today. Beckman previously also held the position of CEO of Foodhills, a producer of frozen peas acquired by Apetit last year.
Jönsson brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the food industry, with a strong focus on production efficiency, process development, and cost management. Most recently, he worked as a management consultant at EFESO Management Consultants and previously served as operations director at Lantmännen Cerealia Sverige AB.
“We are pleased to welcome Martin to Apetit and to the Group’s Management Team. Martin’s background and expertise will strengthen the strategically important operations of Apetit in Sweden, where we aim to achieve a rapid turnaround,” said CEO Esa Mäki.
