Kemira’s President and CEO, Antti Salminen, said in a press release in October that Mäkipeska’s extensive experience in finance, investor relations, IT, and business leadership will strengthen the company’s strategic execution and long-term growth. Mäkipeska expressed enthusiasm about joining Kemira and contributing to its sustainability-focused strategy.

Kemira is a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water-intensive industries. In 2024, Kemira reported annual revenue of EUR 2.9 billion with a global team of some 4,700 colleagues.
