Eero Hautaniemi, president and CEO of Lassila & Tikanoja Plc since 2019, will step down from his role no later than June 30, 2027, at his own request.
Lassila & Tikanoja has launched a search for Hautaniemi's successor, the Finnish circular economy company announced today.
The planned transition marks the end of Hautaniemi’s tenure, during which he led the business through a demerger and repositioned it as a focused circular economy player. Hautaniemi has overseen the company’s strategic transformation into a pure-play circular economy business, strengthening its position in recycling, waste management, and environmental services.
“Since 2019, Eero has successfully steered the company and, following the successful demerger, has decisively launched the implementation of the strategy of the new circular economy company,” said Chairman Jukka Leinonen. Hautaniemi added that 2027 represents “a natural and well-timed opportunity” to hand over leadership and allow a new CEO to take the company into its next phase of growth.
Lassila & Tikanoja operates in Finland and Sweden and provides services including recycling, hazardous waste treatment, and industrial services.
