KH Group’s CEO Carl Haglund has decided to step down. He will remain CEO for the next six months or until a successor is appointed, and will continue as chair of subsidiary Nordic Rescue Group. The recruitment of a new CEO has begun.

The change comes less than three weeks after KH Group raised its 2026 guidance, expecting comparable operating profit to grow 40% to 50% to EUR 9 million to EUR 10 million. Board Chair Christoffer Landtman credits Haglund with advancing the strategy, streamlining the group structure and strengthening profitability.

“Together, we have succeeded in KH Group’s strategic objective of building a group centered on KH-Koneet, with a focus on earthmoving machinery and rescue vehicles. I feel that the Group is now in such a strong position that it is time for me to step down as CEO,” says Carl Haglund.

KH Group has finished turning itself from an investment company into an industrial group

KH Group has completed its shift from an investment company to an industrial group by divesting Logistikas, HTJ and Indoor Group, leaving two business areas: KH-Koneet and Nordic Rescue Group. The last of those sales, in November 2025, saw KH Group sell its 58.3% stake in Indoor Group to a company controlled by Indoor Group’s CEO, booking a EUR 3.3 million loss. In March 2026, it signed EUR 33.5 million of new financing that replaced the earlier arrangements of both business areas.

Haglund took the CEO role with a defined task. In January, he told Listeds that his priorities were exiting Indoor Group, refinancing the group and simplifying its structure, describing himself as someone who enjoys change projects. “If the structure consumes more energy than the businesses, it is wrong,” he said.

Haglund’s exit follows changes in the CFO, chair and KH-Koneet CEO roles this year

Tuomas Myllynen, previously managing director of Cramo Finland, succeeded co-founder Teppo Sakari as head of KH-Koneet. CFO Tommi Rötkin left by June, and Minni Lempinen, formerly CFO of Endomines, took over the role in August. In May, board chair Juha Karttunen resigned and the board elected Christoffer Landtman as chair.

Profit is recovering in 2026 after a weaker 2025

In 2025, net sales rose 5% to EUR 204.5 million, while comparable operating profit fell 11% to EUR 6.4 million. In the first half of 2026, net sales grew 11.5% to EUR 106.9 million and comparable operating profit rose to EUR 3.2 million from EUR 1.0 million. KH Group now expects 2026 net sales of EUR 210 million to EUR 230 million.

The search for Haglund’s successor begins with a new CFO, a new KH-Koneet chief and a new board chair already in place.
