Ville Suovaniemi has been appointed head of global sales & marketing and a member of the management group at Biohit Oyj, effective immediately.
Suovaniemi has worked at Biohit since 2017 and has extensive experience across the company’s sales operations, along with deep knowledge of its products and international markets, according to a press release today.
The responsibilities were previously handled by Graham Johnson alongside his role as managing director of Biohit Healthcare Ltd in the UK. As Biohit sees strong prospects in the UK market, the company plans to increase management focus and resources there to support growing commercial opportunities.
“Ville’s experience within Biohit’s sales organization and his strong understanding of our international markets make him well positioned to lead our global sales and marketing efforts,” CEO Jussi Hahtela said.
Biohit Oyj is a Finnish biotechnology company that develops diagnostic products and services aimed at supporting research and enabling early disease detection. Headquartered in Helsinki, the company operates globally with subsidiaries in Italy and the UK, and its Series B shares are listed on Nasdaq Helsinki’s small-cap healthcare segment.
