Verkkokauppa.com Oyj has appointed Juha Valtonen as its new chief commercial officer, strengthening the management team after a period of strong financial performance. 

Valtonen will assume the role no later than October 2026 and will succeed current CCO Tatu Kaleva, who will leave the company in May 2026, the online retailer announced today.

Valtonen joins from Tokmanni, where he has served as chief buying and sourcing officer, bringing more than 20 years of Nordic retail experience. “Juha brings valuable expertise in assortment, pricing and private label development, backed by a strong sourcing background,” said CEO Panu Porkka. “We are delighted to welcome him to Verkkokauppa.com.”

The appointment follows a very strong third quarter in 2025. Verkkokauppa's revenue grew 15% to EUR 131 million, driven by online sales growth of 23%, while brick-and-mortar sales remained stable. Adjusted operating profit rose to EUR 3.9 million from a loss a year earlier, supported by higher margins, based on the latest interim report.
