Katri Hokkanen, CFO of Valmet, will leave the company by the end of September 2026 after nearly 20 years with the group.
On the same day, Kalmar announced her appointment as its new CFO and member of the management team, effective no later than October 1, 2026, succeeding Sakari Ahdekivi.

Hokkanen has built her career within Valmet and its predecessor Metso, holding a range of finance leadership roles across regions and business lines. Before becoming CFO in 2022, she led finance and management systems for Valmet’s Pulp and Energy business and previously served as Head of Finance for the Asia Pacific area. Her experience spans global operations, financial governance, and performance management in industrial businesses.

Both companies have aligned transition periods to ensure continuity, with Hokkanen remaining at Valmet until her departure and Kalmar’s current CFO staying on through the handover.
