Stora Enso has named the executive management team for its planned forest asset company.
Alongside CEO Hallenberg, the leadership team will include Chief Financial Officer Martin Ros, Head of Forestry Johan Djurberg, and General Counsel Pontus Selderman, the producer of packaging materials announced today. Djurberg is expected to join the company no later than June 2026 as the organization prepares to operate independently following the planned separation from Stora Enso.
CFO Ros most recently worked as SVP, strategy and finance for the company’s biomaterials business area, while Selderman currently serves as SVP forest legal and ESG regulatory at Stora Enso. Djurberg joins from Billerud, where he is vice president of wood supply.
President and CEO Tuomas Hallenberg began leading Stora Enso’s planned forest asset company in January 2026 as the company prepares to spin off the business through a demerger expected to be completed in the first half of 2027. CEO Hallenberg previously served as EVP of Stora Enso’s forest business area. He has also held senior roles at Metsähallitus, Finland’s state-owned forest company, and UPM.
Stora Enso is a Finland-based provider of renewable materials focused on packaging and fiber-based solutions. The new forest asset company is intended to become Europe’s largest listed pure-play forest company once the demerger is completed.
