Nokian Tyres, which boosted its operating profit by more than five times in the third quarter of last year, has appointed Timo Koponen as its new chief financial officer, effective by April 15, 2026.
Koponen will report to President and CEO Paolo Pompei and succeeds interim CFO Jari Huuhtanen, who will remain in the role until the transition is complete, the tire maker announced today.
Koponen joins from underground equipment manufacturer Normet Group, where he is CFO. He has previously held senior roles at Lamor Corporation, Wärtsilä, Hackman, and Konecranes.
Koponen’s extensive experience in finance and operations within listed companies, combined with his leadership in international business and major transformations, will be a valuable asset as Nokian Tyres moves into the next stages of development, CEO Pompei said.
