Jan-Erik Fredriksson will join Kesko as chief information officer on August 1, 2026, at the latest, taking charge of the company’s information management and digital development.
Fredriksson joins the Finnish retail group from energy company Fortum, where he currently serves as CIO. In his new role, he will report to CFO Anu Hämäläinen and oversee Kesko’s IT strategy and digital capabilities, supporting the company’s ongoing growth initiatives. The appointment was announced by Kesko today.
Before Fortum, Fredriksson held several leadership roles in digital development, analytics, and business development at insurance company If. He brings broad experience in driving technology-enabled transformation and aligning information management with business strategy.
“Jan-Erik Fredriksson has solid, versatile experience in leadership positions related to business development and information management. I welcome him to Kesko where he can help build our growth story,” said CFO Anu Hämäläinen.
