Dovre Group Plc has appointed Markku Taskinen as chief executive officer, following the bankruptcy of its core unit.
Taskinen joined Dovre’s management team in November 2025 and previously served as CEO of Suvic Oy, giving him prior familiarity with the organization and its operations, the renewable energy consultancy announced on January 8. Suvic was declared bankrupt one day prior to the appointment.
At the same time, Timo Saarinen will step down from his role as acting CEO and continue as interim chief financial officer. Chair of the Board Kalervo Rötsä said Taskinen brings a strong understanding of Dovre’s business and operating environment, and thanked Saarinen for his contribution in a dual role, noting that cooperation will continue.
