Finland grew faster than the US in Q2 but with fewer workers and fewer hours

Finland's GDP grew 0.9 per cent quarter-on-quarter in Q2 2026 — equivalent to roughly 3.6 per cent annualized. That's faster than the US's headline 1.5 per cent, a figure reported on an annualized basis that works out to about 0.37 per cent quarter-on-quarter.
