Monday is here again, which means it’s time for Listeds Pulse Nordic!
This is your weekly Monday briefing on the most relevant leadership shifts shaping the corporate landscape in Finland. We are also almost done collecting the moves in the Swedish market, so stay tuned. :)
This edition covers changes between August 25 – August 31, 2025. We tracked 1 management change and 6 board changes across Finnish listed companies.
The board changes
This week was unusual: instead of new appointments, most moves were resignations from boards, typically tied to new leadership roles elsewhere. The only role change within boards was Antti Vasara, who was appointed Vice Chair at Bioretec.
Bioretec: Sarah van Hellenberg Hubar-Fisher, who had served as interim CEO since May, was officially appointed Chief Executive Officer. She has been on Bioretec’s Board since 2021.
Musti Group: João Nonell Günther Amaral resigned from the Board due to Sonae’s leadership reorganisation. He now becomes CEO of Bright Pixel and joins Sonae’s Executive Committee.
Anora Group: Torsten Steenholt stepped down from the Board and Audit Committee following his appointment as EVP for Integrated Supply Chain and member of the Executive Committee at Carlsberg Group.
Nokian Tyres: Christopher Ostrander resigned from the Board after being appointed SVP, Passenger Car Tyres, North America, and joining the Management Team. Elina Björklund was elected to the Investment Committee, with Markus Korsten as Chair.
Kesla: Ari Virtanen resigned from the Board; no reason was disclosed.
The management team changes
The only management change we tracked this week was at Musti Group: Erik Ringen Skjærstad, Head of Norway and New Markets, left the company.
Did you know Sonae led a consortium in 2024 to acquire 80.65% of Musti in a €700M deal, one of the largest in Sonae’s history? For the curious, here’s a look at Musti’s and Sonae’s share price performance year-to-date (as of today, 3 PM Finnish time):
